More good news!

We are having a good week! I spoke to the embryologist this morning, and we have 2 blastocysts to freeze — YAY! I am so happy and pleasantly surprised by the great news :). I know this cycle will work, but it will be nice to have additional embryos for when we decide to expand our family. Life is good!!

DAY 15:  List 5 things you want to do before you die.
1. Have children 🙂
2. Start a non-profit to benefit inner-city children
3. Travel everywhere — Africa, Alaska, the Middle East, Chile, Spain, etc
4. Volunteer more!
5. Live in another country

DAY 16:  Have you ever bonded with someone IRL over infertility, even just for a few minutes?  It could be a family member, friend, neighbor, or even the clerk at the grocery store who noticed your OPK and vitamin purchase.  Tell the story.
Yep. I was actually at a fundraising event for my University and started chatting with another alum. We were talking about our efforts to raise money when another alum came over to say hi. One of her first questions to both of us was do you have any children. We both answered no, and my fundraising friend said that her and her hubby had been trying for a while without success. The other alum rudely said that she was trying too hard and just needed to relax. We both laughed nervously and the other alum left. We then bonded about TTC and how annoying it is when people tell you to just relax. It was a good conversation — we shared stories about doctor’s appointments and acupuncture as well as coping with the stress of infertility. It was nice to connect with someone outside of my circle and to let her know that she isn’t alone in this journey.

DAY 17:  If you could have 3 wishes, what would they be?
1. This is pretty obvious, to have a healthy and happy baby!
2. For health, happiness, and prosperity for us, our loved ones, and our families
3. Health insurance for all families going through infertility treatment, no matter where you live!!
