Day 25 – Calm

Today’s intention is to get moving!

Today, I feel calm. Last night, hubby and I had a mini-date-night. We went to the local ice cream shop and each enjoyed a delicious ice cream cone. This kind of eating totally goes against my typical no-dairy, no-gluten, no-sugar diet, but it was well worth it! I think the ice cream tasted even better because I rarely eat it, and I tried a pretzel cone, which was amazing! It was nice to spend some quality time with hubby — we laughed, joked, and caught up on the day! It was a much-needed break from fertility-land and work.

This morning  started with IVF screening blood work. Apparently my tests were out of date, which is funny since they took 18 vials of blood in November for various tests. This panel tests my hormone levels and I should know the results by my IVF consult Monday. While getting my blood drawn, I started a conversation with another patient  whose positive outlook and attitude really brightened my day. I, then, went to my acupuncture appointment. I love acupuncture — it has helped with my migraines, allergies, and fertility! I had a great appointment and left feeling well-rested and ready to face the day.

I felt overwhelmed and anxious yesterday, but I am feeling much better today about the pace of treatment. I also know that I am 100% ready for this challenge. I have prepared my body every way I know how — no caffeine, no alcohol, no gluten, no soy, limited dairy and sugar combined with eating whole, fresh, organic foods and working out to relieve stress. I have also focused on getting more rest and taking care of me. I know that these positive changes will make a difference in my cycle!

I am grateful for the small things; my wonderful hubby; my loving family; my great sisters-in-law (there are no better on the planet; my amazing in-laws; my health; positive changes; my Kahli-bear; and, amazingly supportive and loving friends.
I love and accept myself!

  1. I am amazed to “meet” someone with virtually the same diet as me! Very rare occasion. 🙂 That pretzel cone sounds incredible! I love sweet and salty together. Yum.
